Product Info

This Zelus weighted vest storage bag keeps your entire setup in one clean pack, so there is no juggling loose gear or extra bags on your way to training. Load it up, cinch the drawstring, and let the hook-and-loop fasteners keep everything stable when you are on the move. Built-in air vents help release heat and moisture after workouts, so your gear does not sit trapped with odor. Made from rugged 600D Oxford fabric, our carry bag is built to handle daily training stress, heavy packing, and constant use without wearing down. Grab it by the handle when you are ready to head out, or even use it for added resistance during your training sessions.

Compatible with all Zelus vests. Load up to 20 lb inside for dynamic training like swings, carries, and presses—if using a heavier adjustable or plate vest, simply bring the weight down to 20 lb before inserting.

Features

  • One Bag for Full Setup: Zelus weighted vest storage bag holds your complete weighted vest setup in one clean pack, so you are not dealing with loose gear, extra bags, or scattered resistance bands
  • Train with It Like Extra Weight: More than just storage, our carry bag doubles as a kettlebell. Load any Zelus vest inside — up to 20 lb — to add resistance, with the handle giving you a secure grip for carries and swings
  • All-Around Air Vents: The built-in air vents allow airflow to move through the bag so heat and moisture do not get trapped after workouts. It helps reduce odor buildup and keeps your gear fresher between sessions
  • Tougher Than Your Workout: Constructed with ultra-tough 600D Oxford, this Z-bag is designed for the long haul. Whether you're packing it for the commute or swinging it for a PR, it maintains its grit through your demanding daily routines

One vest. More ways to move.

Your weighted vest should not become dead weight between walks. The Z-Bag turns the Zelus Classic weighted vest you already own into a compact tool for strength days, park sessions and travel.

From walk to workout

Ready in three steps.

Step 1 of 3 Weighted vest laid flat before folding Folded vest going into the Z-Bag Z-Bag closed with the drawstring cinched
  1. Pop the buckles, lay the vest face down and fold the straps in so nothing's dangling. Five seconds, and it's the step people skip.

  2. Fold it in half, then roll it up from the bottom with the buckles tucked inside. Stand the roll upright in the bag instead of dropping it in flat.

  3. Pull the drawstring tight, press the hook-and-loop down, and give it one shake. Nothing moving inside? You're good to train.

Heads up: a loaded bag only feels wobbly when the vest can slide around inside. Ten extra seconds on the drawstring is the whole trick.

12 ways to train with it

Carry it. Swing it. Press it.

Packed with your Zelus weighted vest, the Z-Bag turns into a versatile kettlebell alternative. Every exercise below needs one bag and nothing else.

  • Carry

    Suitcase Carry

WorksGrip & forearms, obliques, upper traps, deep core

Why it helpsHolding a load on one side forces the other side of your trunk to fight the tilt. Simplest anti-lean core work there is, and it carries straight over to groceries and luggage.

    4 × 30 sec per side

  • Squat

    Goblet Squat

    WorksQuads, glutes, adductors, upper back

Why it helpsThe bag at chest height acts as a counterweight, so your torso stays upright and most people hit a deeper, cleaner squat than they can bodyweight-only.

    3 × 10–12

  • Power

    Two-Hand Swing

    WorksGlutes, hamstrings, spinal erectors, core

Why it helpsA fast hip snap builds power and drives your heart rate up with none of the joint impact of running. Both hands on the handle, hips do the work — not your arms.

    5 × 15, rest 45 sec

  • Hinge

    Romanian Deadlift

    WorksHamstrings, glutes, spinal erectors, lats

Why it helpsA slow lower loads the hamstrings through their full length — the exact tissue that shortens after a day in a desk chair. Push the hips back, keep the bag close to your legs.

    3 × 10, 3 sec lower

  • Single leg

    Bulgarian Split Squat

    WorksQuads, glutes, adductors, hip stabilizers

Why it helpsRear foot on a bench, bag at your chest. One leg at a time exposes the weaker side instead of letting the strong one cover for it, and it rebuilds knee control under load.

    3 × 8 per leg

  • Lunge

    Reverse Lunge

    WorksGlutes, quads, hamstrings, calves

Why it helpsStepping back puts far less shear through the front knee than stepping forward, which makes it the lunge to start with if your knees complain.

    3 × 10 per leg

  • Balance

    Single-Leg Deadlift

WorksHamstrings, glute medius, ankle stabilizers, core

Why it helpsTrains a hip hinge and balance in the same rep. The small stabilizers around the standing ankle and hip are what keep you upright on stairs and uneven ground.

    3 × 8 per leg

  • Step

    Weighted Step-Up

    WorksGlutes, quads, calves, core

Why it helpsThe closest thing to hill walking you can do in a living room. A box or a bottom stair plus a loaded bag is the whole setup, and it doubles as low-impact conditioning.

    3 × 12 per leg

  • Pull

    Bent-Over Row

    WorksLats, rhomboids, rear delts, biceps

Why it helpsPulling the bag to your ribcage draws the shoulder blades back — the direct counterweight to a day spent rounded over a keyboard. Hinge to about 45° and keep your neck long.

    3 × 12

  • Press

    Push Press

WorksShoulders, triceps, upper chest, bracing core

Why it helpsA small dip and leg drive moves a load your shoulders couldn't press cold. The lockout overhead is also where trunk stiffness gets built, because your midsection has to stop you arching back.

    4 × 8

  • Mobility

    Bag Halo

WorksShoulders, rotator cuff, scapular stabilizers, thoracic spine

Why it helpsSlow circles around the head open stiff shoulders and warm the rotator cuff before anything overhead. Sixty seconds of this beats arm swings as a warm-up.

    2 × 5 each direction

  • Rotation

    Russian Twist

WorksObliques, rectus abdominis, transverse abdominis, hip flexors

Why it helpsLoaded rotation is what most ab routines skip, and it's what reaching across the car and swinging a racket actually use. Move the bag with your ribcage, not just your arms.

Care & safety

Keep it working.

  • Easy daily care—just wipe with a damp cloth or disinfectant spray. Machine washable for deep cleaning.)
  • Leave the drawstring open between sessions so the four eyelets and the mesh collar can actually move air — a sweaty vest sealed in a closed bag is how odor starts.
  • Store it upright and empty. Don't leave it hanging loaded by the handle for weeks.
  • Check the handle stitching and the hook-and-loop before any swing or overhead work, and clear lint off the loop side so it grips properly.
  • Train in a clear space with nothing breakable within arm's reach, and never swing the bag over another person.

Need to know

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Z-Bag come with a weighted vest?

No. This is the bag on its own. To use it as a training weight you'll need a Zelus weighted vest, loaded to 20 lb or under, sold separately

How heavy does it get once my vest is inside?

Your vest weight plus 9.5 oz for the bag. A 12 lb Classic vest gives you roughly a 12.6 lb training weight; a 20 lb vest puts you just over 20 lb. That range covers what most people use for goblet squats, rows and swings.

Is this a real kettlebell?

No, and the difference matters. A kettlebell is cast iron with a fixed handle. The Z-Bag is a loaded soft bag — the load shifts slightly, which actually makes carries and holds harder on your grip and core, but it means you keep movements controlled and never throw or drop it. For swings, presses and carries at 10–20 lb it does the job. For a 70 lb one-arm swing, buy a kettlebell.

Can I put anything other than a vest in it?

As a carry bag, sure — ankle weights, bands, straps, a towel and a bottle all fit alongside a folded vest. As a training weight, load it with your Zelus vest only. Loose or hard objects shift unpredictably and can press through the shell during dynamic movements.

Does it work with Z-Fit™ Slim, Classic, or Performance vests?

Yes — remove the weight blocks or plates first and it packs down the same as a Classic. Recommended load for training is 20 lb.

Can I store my vest in it right after a workout?

Yes — that's what the eyelets and mesh collar are for. Air moves through instead of sitting sealed against the fabric. After a heavy sweat session, leave the drawstring loose overnight rather than cinching it shut.

I've never trained with a weight like this. Where do I start?

Three movements for the first two weeks: goblet squat, bent-over row and suitcase carry. Three rounds of 10, 12 and 30 seconds per side, twice a week. Add reverse lunges in week three, and only add swings and push presses once the hinge pattern feels automatic.

Will it fit in a carry-on?

At 12.6 in tall and 7.9 in wide it sits comfortably inside a standard carry-on with the vest packed inside, and it doubles as your gym bag once you land. Empty, it weighs less than a pair of running shoes.
