Our Development History:
Zelus began with a passion for fitness and a desire to share the joy of a healthy, active lifestyle with others. Olivia, our founder, was always deeply passionate about staying fit and enjoying the rewards of a balanced, active life. However, Olivia noticed that her close friend Zelda, like many beginners, struggled to find her footing in the overwhelming gym environment, feeling intimidated by the intense atmosphere and complex equipment. Olivia wanted to create a way for Zelda—and everyone else—to experience the enthusiasm and competitive spirit that fitness brings, without the intimidation. Her goal was to make fitness approachable and enjoyable for all, especially those just starting out.
Inspired by her friend Zelda's name, which brought to mind the ancient Greek deity Zelus (Ζῆλος), the embodiment of passion and competition, Olivia embarked on a mission to create a more accessible fitness experience for all. She began with a simple yet powerful idea: a lightweight weighted vest designed specifically for beginners. This vest offered a range of weight options, making it an ideal choice for those new to fitness, as well as for those looking to gradually enhance their workouts.
